The entire Filipino Community of Oxfordshire is mourning the sad loss of
Elbert Rico and Oscar King Jr
both porters at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Our thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones.

Philomina Cherian
a much-loved staff nurse at the John Radcliffe Hospital, who sadly died from Covid-19 on 30 April 2020.
Peter Gough
a highly valued member of staff who worked in OUH administrative support services,  who sadly died from Covid-19 on 12 May 2020.

FILCOM OXFORD DISTRIBUTES 230 MEALS TO JOHN RADCLIFFE HOSPITAL STAFF GENEROUSLY SUPPORTED BY
CITY AND COUNTY COUNCILLOR, ROZ SMITH  AND OTHERS

A GREAT WAY TO CELEBRATE THE 122nd ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDANCE
(12th June)






Saturday 13 June 2020: For the last of ten free lunch distributions FilCom Oxford distributed 230 lunches to John Racliffe Hospital staff.

200 meals were enabled by funds made available by
Councillor Roz Smith  (Oxford City: Quarry and Risinghurst Ward; Oxfordshire County: Headington and Quarry Division).

A further 30 meals with cakes were donated by Roger and Cecile Magallano.

200 soft drinks were donated by
The Royal College of Nursing.

200 chocolate brownies were donated by
Oxford Hospitals Charity.

MM Catering Services provided the food.

Saturday 6 June 2020: FilCom Oxford distributed 100 lunches to staff working at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

The lunch was donated by MM Catering Services who also undertook the catering.

OXFORD CITY COUNCILLORS

Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31 May 2020:
FilCom Oxford distributed 100 lunches to John Racliffe Hospital staff on the Saturday and to Churchill Hospital staff on the Sunday.



The initiative was supported by funds from the ward allowances of
City Councillor Nigel Chapman
(Headington Hill and Northway Ward)
and
City Councillor Mark Lygo (Churchill Ward).

MM Catering Services provided the food.

Saturday 23 May 2020: Oxford Round Table kindly donated 100 lunches for FilCom Oxford to distribute to Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre staff.
Three members of Oxford Round Table, including Chairman Stuart Langston, joined FilCom Oxford helpers at the distribution.
